Product Overview

This full grain leather toiletry bag is over-engineered with no breakable parts like zippers, snaps, buttons etc. and is built out of just one solid piece of leather. The benefit of that is that seams are where the bags always start falling apart. And if there aren't any seams to talk about, then it's not going to fall apart for a long long long time. And, we do 5 stitches per inch so there's more leather between the needle holes and fewer holes to start a tear.

Our cow leather is the strongest we can find (full grain boot leather, but thicker) and the pigskin lining is stronger than the cow leather. Our hardware is 316 Stainless Steel )please please Google that). The thread is unbelievably strong industrial marine grade UV resistant polyester thread. There's no other leather toiletry bag like it.

This toiletry bag is just a plain and simple Dopp Kit that has a flap and a lip that the flap lays over and that's pretty much it. Nothing fancy except for a couple of pigskin pocket along the inside.

A Nice Story to Sleep on
We didn't want to take our kids to Africa when they were too young, so we waited until they were 16 and 38 months old. And that was the maiden voyage for our travel case, too. Actually, we first stopped off in Spain, then the Seychelles, off the coast of Somalia / Madagascar, then to Tanzania, Rwanda to Ireland and then home. My hot wife, Suzette, loved her Simple leather toiletry bag so much that she took it out into the Serengeti and left everything else behind. See the video of her small Travel Case at The Great Migration while watching the wildebeest dodge crocodiles in the Mara river, It didn't look out of place.

I really wanted a Leather Shaving or Dopp Kit I could love, but since I don't design with zippers, it was real hard designing something to keep the little things in. Once I figured out the overhanging lip and side flaps on this bag, I posted a picture of the prototype on Facebook and I didn't say what it was. One of the first posts was, "Oh! A tackle box. Then someone said, "Hey, a makeup bag!" "Finally! A tool kit!" "Yes! Something for my hair cutting tools!" "Look, a train case!" "A sewing kit!". And on the comments went. I think you're going to love this toiletry bag.)
